Election 2024: Campaign Roundup - Day 3

Welcome to Day 3 of our Saskatoon 2024 Campaign Roundup!
With the 2024 municipal election underway, we'll be bringing you daily updates on all the policy proclamations, platform promises, and political point-scoring from the campaign trail.
As always, our work is entirely funded by donations from residents just like you, so if you appreciate the updates, please consider making a one-off donation or signing up as a supporter for just $10 a month - that's just 36 cents per email!
Campaign Roundup - Day 3:
- With the provincial election only just over (actually, there’s still some counting underway), we know that many of you are probably sick of politics right now. But municipal elections are important, so thank you for hanging in there for just two more weeks!
- CBC Radio's Saskatoon Morning will host a debate tomorrow morning between three mayoral candidates - Cynthia Block, Don Atchison, and Gordon Wyant. The debate takes place at 7:10 am, and you can tune in here.
- After yesterday’s Chamber debate between mayoral candidates, Don Atichison accused Cynthia Block of giving a “disappointing answer” after she was asked why she skipped the West End debate. Block said she went directly to residents.
- Advance voting begins tomorrow and runs until November 4th. Polls are open from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm. During advance voting, you can cast a ballot at any polling station. To locate a polling station, visit Elections Saskatoon’s website here.
- The Municipal Wards Commission adjusted ward boundaries for this election. Changes include moving Confederation Urban Centre to Ward 2 and Nutana Park to Ward 9. To be sure which ward you’re in, you can use Elections Saskatoon’s ward finder tool online here.
Support Our Work:
Common Sense Saskatoon doesn't accept any government funding and never will. We think you should be free to choose, for yourself, which organizations to support. If you're in a position to contribute financially, you can make a donation here:
If you're not in a position to donate, we understand, but if you appreciate our work, you can help by spreading our message. Please forward this email to your friends, and help make sure every resident knows what's going on in our city.
